Storylane.com

remember back in elementary school when your teacher would give you a prompt everyday to write about? most kids dreaded that part of the day, and would just add a lot of "so's" before each word, however this girl loved it.  i mean overly loved it and would ask the teacher for more time to write (yes, i was that girl). i recently got a email suggesting that i check out a website called Storylane... and i absolutely love it! this cite is social media and blogging combined- a match made in heaven if you ask me.

i have written a few stories (you can see them here ) so far and love the community in which i get to read and interact in a cool way with others! hope you can check out my stories and share some of your own!

layer my life

winter layers
layers are the perfect way to automatically look in fashion and trendy for winter. you can just do a little, like add a cardigan, or do a lot with this trend, such as add a cardigan, jacket and scarf! above, i have what i would call the perfect layering outfit. with a flannel, chunky cardigan and parka you will be so comfortable and chic! also, by wearing black skinny jeans and black boots together, it will instantly elongate your legs and make you look taller... major need in my situation. to finish up the look, i added simple, classic accessories, nude nail polish, and messy hair to top it off.

here are three looks that i absolutely adore for this season! remember, just when you think you have enough layers, think again and add another! what is one way you like to add layers to your outfits? leave a comment below!

thanksgiving outfit #2 (fancy fancy!)

thanksgiving outfit #2

this outfit is something that i would wear to a fancy-er thanksgiving meal. with a few fun aspects to it, like the orange tights, fun jewerly, and the dark lip and nail, this look is completed with a beautiful yet simple gray dress. plus, arn't these black booties to die for?! as for nails and lips, i thought it would be fun to either stick with an all wine-colored scheme or it you want to spice it up a bit add some teal to your nails!  i wish my thanksgiving meal was not-so-casual sometimes so that i could wear a dress and heels without looking so "that girl" if you know what i mean. however, if you have a nice meal to go to, this a fun outfit for you!

p.s. have a great thanksgiving, friends! so thankful for all of my followers (:

thanksgiving outfit inspiration

thanksgiving outfit

thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means food, food, and more food! with all of that food, you need clothes that will stretch and be comfortable to hang out in. this outfit i created on Polyvore above is something that i would definatly wear to a easy thanksgiving meal with my family. a fall-colored sweater with black skinnies, suede wedges, and some fun acessories to put this whole outfit together is the perfect look for any casual occasion!

the leather jacket

i got this leather jacket from my grandparents (yes... my grandparents. and they even picked it out without me!) last year for Christmas, and this probably only the second time i have worn it. crazy, i know. what is crazier than that is that why i did not wear it was because i did not know what to wear it with. yet it is as easy as this... a gray long sleeve tee, bright scarf, jeans, and moccasins. all i had to do is basically add the jacket to what i normally wear on a regular basis. crazy, i know.

oh, and recognize this top? i wore it on my very first blog post ! crazy how time flies... crazier how i have had this awesome leather jacket hanging in my closet unworn for a year.
